Seminarian Theo Heino Chalice Prayer Campaign
When a man is ordained to the priesthood, it is tradition that his home parish/cluster present him with a Mass kit containing a chalice and paten. We have an opportunity to pray for Theo Heino, who is next to be ordained for the Diocese of Superior. This prayer campaign allows different families to take the chalice and paten home and offer prayers for Theo’s intentions that week. You will have a seven day candle that can stay lit the entire week to create an environment of prayer for your family. There is a small book where prayers for Theo can be written. Our seminarians need continuous prayers through the seminary and their life of service to Christ after ordination. A sign-up sheet is at the back of the Church; or contact Trudy DeLawyer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Operation Local Child Birthday Bags
Donations are being sought for the Operation Local Child program. The CCW members of St. Joseph’s parish will continue to package and deliver birthday bags to the Washburn County Food Pantry on an ongoing basis. Items needed include: cake mixes, frosting, birthday candles, napkins and plates. Other toys or gifts are not needed. Monetary donations are also welcome. Please contact Marge Johnson with questions at (715) 468-2261.
The Parish Cluster Mission was held March 9th-11th at St. Francis de Sales. Fr. John Fontana, OSM, preached on the theme of redemptive suffering: From Ashes to Easter, the Role of Suffering in the Lives of Jesus’ Followers. His messages are available via YouTube video for anyone who missed the mission or would like to hear any of the mission again. Learn More
