7th & 8th Grade

From Mr. Ocariz, November 9, 2017

From the 7th and 8th grade room, “Greetings Everyone.”

Two weeks ago the 7th and 8th graders enjoyed some outdoor adventures and learning at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, MN. They all had a good time, even if half of them were battling a bad cold!

In Science class we are studying a unit about interactions of matter. At this particular time we are doing an introduction to organic chemistry.

In Religion we are studying the Holy Spirit as Helper and Guide. We also are seeing how the Holy Spirit is active in God’s plan of salvation and is always guiding the Church.

In Spanish we are doing some translations about people’s lives and occupations.

In History we are in the devastation that the Black Death brought to Europe between the years 1347 and 1351. Some of the historians think that Europe lost one third of its population!

On a much lighter note, like most of you know, we do some cross country skiing with the upper grades. If you happen to have equipment that you don’t use or need, or you know of somebody who does, we would greatly appreciate that you consider donating it to our program. Thank You.

As always keep fit in body and soul and God Bless You!
